FIREHOUSE Sandwiches began in 2010 as a small sandwich shop in San Francisco, founded by former firefighter James Martinez and chef Elizabeth Chen. Our name pays homage to James' 15-year career as a firefighter and the communal meals that became the highlight of long shifts at the station.

What started as a single location with just six sandwich options has grown into a beloved California institution with 24 locations across the state. Along the way, we pioneered a delivery-focused approach that has made our sandwiches accessible to hungry Californians wherever they are.
